Definitions of Information Literacy

There is an ongoing debate as to whether there is a single adequate definition of information literacy. A succinct definition in the IL literature is from the book, Information Literacy Fueling Action Literacy, Zurkowski and Kelly, 2015. Information Literacy is: "The ability to extract, accept and create good value from needed information."
